The spectacular emergency landing of the JU 52 on the Umballkees (glacier) in Prägraten (east Tyrol) in 1941 is the subject of this exhibition.

A project in co-operation with the municipality and mountain Rescue of Prägraten / Sandy Air Corp. , Mag. Wolfgang Falch /Universität Innsbruck,  Univ.-Prof. Dr. Harald Stadler /  MMag. Dr. Sabine Falch (historian) /  Mag. Dr. Ursula Falch (historian) and  Ao. Uni.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Thomas Albrich (historian).

The JU 52 aircraft was on route to Sicily under the instruction of the Wehrmacht when it was forced to make an emergency landing in poor weather in east Tyrol at a height of 3,000 m. The transportation of the free radio installation thus failed. …
