The traveling exhibition Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia features more than 120 original Khmer objects and treasures that chart the rise, decline and resilience of ancient Angkor.


Visitors step deep into the tropical rain forests of Cambodia where ruins witness the vast metropolis of Angkor. Equipped with the cutting-edge tools of the day, they embark on an awe-inspiring journey through time to unearth the untold story of this World Heritage Site.

They will discover how scientific advances in ground excavations, aerial mapping and modern remote sensing have revolutionized our understanding of the Khmer Empire. Visitors will leave the exhibition with new knowledge about the cultural marvels and the environmental challenges that shaped the future of this vast empire.

Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia is a cooperation with the California Science Center, Los Angeles. The exhibition was curated by Damian Evans, Sophie Biard and a curatorial team from the National Museum of Cambodia.
